Scavenger Hunt Sunday - April 22, 2012

Another week, another hunt.  I had to go back into my archives for one, and ended up using two old ones because....well, just because!

Yellow - It's everywhere this time of year!

Something that makes or made you smile - This is the photo I stumbled upon and I had to use because it makes me smile every time I look at it.  This was taken in Yalta on the promenade by the beach.

Ancient or Antique - On the same trip, we visited Athens, Greece.  This is a fresco on an 11th century church.  I love the contrast of this church and the "modern" buildings surrounding it.

Splash - Nothing like a refreshing dip in the lake!

In the Sun - This was a week filled with sunshine! I edited this photo in Picassa using Duo-Tone just to try something different.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by!    ~Karen

Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ April 15, 2012

I got a very late start on this week's prompts.  My procrastination caused me to be one photo short.  None of my "bubble" shots turned out like I envisioned, so I won't bore you with them.  Hopefully next week I'll be more inspired :)

Simple - What can be more "simple" than a cross?  The elaborate designs on this tombstone made me stand in awe.

Grain - German Rye Bread on my German "Brot" plate.  Yum!

Transportation - I've discovered that I love trains. Especially old trains and train tracks! The power, the textures, destinations unknown....

Stitch - Ahhhh.....Baseball Season!

I hope you have a wonderful week! We're supposed to have summer-like weather and I am really looking forward to it.

Scavenger Hunt 4-1-12

Happy Scavenger Hunt Sunday, Happy April, and most important....Happy April Fools Day! I just felt the need to remind you all that it IS April Fools Day just in case you have a husband like mine who thoroughly enjoys the chance to fool his family without us getting mad. (OK...we may get a little mad, but we get over it pretty quickly!)  Without further ado.....

Clouds - This was a week FULL of clouds of all kinds....big fluffy ones, rolling gray ones, and rippled ones.  Obviously, I am not a meteorologist and I have no recollection of my days in Science class!

Sun flare - Why is it that when I'm NOT trying for sun flare, it shows up?  Trying for it was much more difficult. This is a bit overdone, but it is definitely sun flare!

Seven - I'm so happy the prompt wasn't "Five" because these tulips were perfect.

High Angle - Obviously, I have a thing for pink tulips!

Low Angle - I like how the tops are shimmering in the sun! It's amazing how bare trees can look beautiful even when trees and flowers are starting to sprout and bloom.
Thank you to Ashley Sisk for hosting Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  It's wonderful to have a reason to go out and use my camera!

And I leave you with this ~

Happy April Fools Day....Be careful out there!
