Scavenger Hunt - June 17, 2012

Oh my....when I first saw these prompts last week, I actually broke out in a cold sweat! (ok....maybe I'm exaggerating a bit!) My brain has been in a fog lately and searching for photo opportunities to complete the hunt seemed overwhelming. All week I thought about it, but didn't pick up my camera.  I convinced myself that I wouldn't be participating this week.  Happily, I finally had a couple of free hours, the sun was out, I was enjoying time with my daughter, and we stumbled upon a lavender farm....Oh, Happy Day!!

I'm also linking up to Your Sunday Best this week, so jump on over and check out some more  beautiful photos.

Mother Nature meets technology - I'm not going to lie....I know nothing about what is being done here.  All I know is that there was some machine tucked in with all of the drying lavender and that machine was doing something!
One Step At A Time - The flower buds being removed from the stems. One Step in creating the beautiful sachets in the shop.

What's Wrong With This Picture? - The fact that you can't experience the amazing fragrance that surrounded us!

Standing Tall - A stretch, but the lavender stems were Standing Tall.

Meet Me At The Corner - After our time at the lavender farm, we ventured down the road to the lake.  Here we saw these two who met at the corner of the pier to do a little fishing.

A day of aromatherapy was just what I needed to relax and clear my head!

Scavenger Hunt 6-10-2012

Some weeks are easier than others.  This was one of those "other" weeks.  Last Sunday when I looked at the prompts I thought they'd be easy, but I a hard time finding what I was looking for. How frustrating!! This is what I came up with:

Travel - One can dream!

Silly - I really wasn't in a silly-seeking mood this week, but this did make me chuckle.  I was standing in my kitchen, looked up and saw that I still have this string of garland hung from Christmas! I'm just leaving it up .  I'll feel like I got a jump start for Christmas 2012 decorating  :)

Black & White - We had some nasty thunderstorms blow through this week.  Crazy skies! This is as black and white as I can get while shooting in color.

Spots -   I wish these were at my house.  The spots of yellow are so cheerful.

Paper - There is nothing like starting the day on the deck with the morning paper, a cup of tea,  and sunshine.

I hope I feel more creative next week!  Thanks for stopping by...and thank you to you all who leave comments. I enjoy them....but not as much as I enjoy looking at your photos.

Scavenger Hunt - June 3, 2012

June? Already? Time just keeps flying by...and this week really flew.  It went by so quickly that I had to hit the archives for the first two prompts...which was fine with me because I was looking for an excuse to use some photos from this outing!

Shine - A couple of weeks ago my sister and I went to a car show.  Anyone who knows us realizes how comical that sounds. We said a lot of  "OOOOO....that's a pretty color!" and "Wow....look how old THIS one is!"  We both were fascinated by the hood ornaments.  I wish I could put this shiny one on the hood of my Subaru!

Fast - We agreed....THIS is the car we both wanted. How can you not fall in love with a car this color?! I'm sure I would drive this baby way too fast! It's really not a stretch because I drive every car too fast.

Left - George Washington slept here.  Well actually, this is what is LEFT of one of the many places George Washington slept. Being a Founding Father of America required a lot of nights on the road, and living in the Philadelphia area means there are quite a few local spots where George laid his head.

Peace - "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." ~ John Muir

Plain - I was carrying groceries into the house and I looked down at this leaf laying on our freshly mowed lawn. It is just a plain old rotting leaf, but it looked so lacey and delicate.

Thanks for stopping by...feel free to leave a comment!
