Scavenger Hunt - 2/17/2013

I hate when I look at the new Scavenger Hunt prompts and find that many of the photos I JUST used would have been better for the following week's Hunt.  And even though these prompts were Valentine inspired, and it was just Valentine's Day...I went back and used a couple from a few weeks ago...just because I wanted to :)

If you've ever looked at my blog before, you'd know that we always have candy in our house.  For that, I thank my husband - my Sugar Daddy, Big Hunk, Pop Rock, and Nerd all wrapped up in one!  This was a Saturday night family effort when I found myself one photo short.

Love my Phillies!

This is from my Zoo visit a couple of weeks ago.  There was a display showing how high a Cobra can stand.  Perfect kissing height for my daughter!

This was the morning of our Zoo trip.  Long story short....we were celebrating the end of our 20 years of visits to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.  Waaaay back when we first started going, they only had plain masks.  I made her model the Baby Disney one. Sometimes you just don't need to see the smile to know it's there!

Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day!  Have a great week.  ~ Karen

Scavenger Hunt - February 10, 2013

I wasn't going to do Scavenger Hunt this week as I hadn't taken my camera out once.  However, when my daughter said she looks forward to seeing what I come up with, I didn't want to disappoint her.  I'm sure there have been several times in my life when I have unintentially disappointed her, so why add to the list :)  Conveniently, I had Friday off from work so I had a full day to use my camera, but Friday was rainy, windy, and prep day for the "big" snow...a disappointing 3 inches in our neck of the woods.  Plan B: Welcome to my cell phone edition of Scavenger Hunt.

The Small Things
I just love these mini apples.  I threw a normal sized apple into the bin for comparison. They're so darn cute!

Pretty tulip bouquet edited to look like a sketch.  This would be my illustration for "Spring".

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. It's just one of those commercial holidays that drive me nuts.  Such pressure!  But, you can't go wrong with these.....

Window Beauty
I had to go to the mall to make one final Christmas return.  The aroma wafting from Williams-Sonoma drew me to their store where I saw this. This is one of those stores where I feel like I "need" everything once I see it.  I now need this Hand-Hammered Copper Couscoussier...who doesn't?!

I want to thank my daughter for encouraging me to get off my butt and take some you!!

Scavenger Hunt - February 3, 2013

We were given a rare gift this week.  A 68 degree day in January! Coincidentally, it happened on a day where I had already scheduled off from work to take care of some business with my daughter.  So, we took care of business...and then celebrated with a jaunt to the zoo.

I don't like snakes, and this guy made it "plain" that he didn't like me either!

Nobody can text as fast as a 20-something!

We interrupted his peace and quiet.

After a fun few hours, we left the zoo. What a great day!

Off to check out your photos at Ramblings & Photos with Ashley Sisk.  Have a great week!    ~Karen
